Week 3: Casually Cool
What hobbies, activities, and pastimes fuel your passion?
I’m a laid back guy who values time with family and friends. I’m extremely social and love meeting new people. If I’m not emceeing or hosting a work function, you’ll find me cruising around the Oregon District or strolling through the Greene. When I have “me time,” it’s spent exercising. For me, fitness isn’t just physically refreshing, it’s definitely mental! Nothing clears my head like a run or time in the gym. Winding down for the day usually requires my guitar. I’ve been playing since I was kid! I always wanted to grow up and become a rockstar, but I settled for working in television … I’m OK with it!
Week 2: Workplace Image
What does an average day (or week) of your life look like?
Every day is different and that’s the way I want to keep it! I love my job because I meet new people and discover new things in the Miami Valley every day. There are so many hidden gems in Dayton and I’m fortunate to work on a show that highlights just that! As a host of Living Dayton, one of my responsibilities is emceeing events and helping organizations promote events. It’s an honor and privilege. I stay busy, but it’s easy work when you love what you do!
Week 1: First Impressions
How did you become the man you are today?
I was raised to never give up and to always strive to reach my goals. I’m extremely determined. Once I set my mind to something, I have to have it! I’m very fortunate to have the position of Host for Living Dayton. I was an intern at WDTN-TV before Living Dayton was created; at that time, it was just an idea. I told myself, that’s the show I’m eventually going to host: a show about a city that made me who I am!
Why should people vote for you as the best Role Model for Men at Work?
After several years of working at different TV stations across the state, my goal was to make it back to Dayton and give back to the city that gave me opportunities to have a successful career. Take a few minutes to get to know me and you might say, “Huh, he’s an alright dude!”
