Week 3: May 13 – May 19
The Casually Cool Award
What do you like to do for fun?
As my picture suggests, golf is a great passion of mine. Golf provides an outlet to relax and connect with friends and family. My causally cool golf attire allows me to play my best golf and look good doing it. In addition, golf has always been a source of competition for me. Playing golf symbolizes my competitive spirit from battling friends stroke for stroke to grinding through a round that may not be going as planned. Persevering through and grinding to the end is what defines me as a player and a professional.
Week 2: May 6 – May 12
The Workplace Image Award
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Like my wardrobe, versatility is an attribute I consider most rewarding in my career. Whether I am sporting a bow tie with my suit or relaxing a little with a “tie-less look” makes what I wear analogous to my career as an advisor. Versatility allows me the opportunity to serve in different capacities, whether it’s volunteering to coach my kid’s sports’ teams or volunteering my time in their elementary classrooms while still serving in a professional capacity. The work/life balance my career affords, makes me a more rounded husband, father, and volunteer.
Week 1: April 24 – May 5
The First Impressions Award
What made you decide to pursue your current career or vocation?
“Service” has been the driving force behind my career as an Edward Jones Financial Advisor. I truly believe there is no higher calling in a career or life for that matter. My past service in the United States Marine Corps through to my current work as an advisor has brought me great pride in knowing that I can and do make a difference in people’s lives. My wardrobe gives me that sense of confidence and the conviction to serve my clients and the community with my very best foot forward. Particularly, the bow tie leaves a lasting impression on those I serve within the community.
