Why Should You Vote For Me?
Ladies and Gentlemen…Adrian Taylor. Voting for Adrian should be easy because he has gone from a young man who watched empowered men and learning from empowered men to becoming an example in our community of what happens when faith, functionality, focus, and fun come together in an empowered man.
Accessory of Empowerment
My wife gave me this bracelet and when I have it on, it completes my look and gives me a physical sense of empowerment because of the physical weight it has on my wrist. It also completes my overall sense of empowerment because she had inscribed on the inside of the bracelet, “God gave you to me” which in turn reminds me of my spiritual empowerment. I’m called to be many things as a man (husband, father, son, youth pastor, mentor, co-worker, leader, advocate, etc.) but it’s WHO called me that ultimately empowers me at all times – God.
Shoes of Empowerment
When I was a teen, my father instilled in me that a man should have a pair of shoes that he doesn’t wear every day in the closet that when he does put them on, they are clean, polished and present a successful man. In that, my father showed me that the empowered man should be seen as wearing a clean, polished shoe. These shoes represent that mind-set so when I look down it reminds me of that things my dad was instilling in me years ago.
Outfit of Empowerment
I’m a traditionalist when it comes to a suit. Dark blue suit and a white shirt. No two ways about it. One of the most important and successful business men I knew was my grandfather who was one of the first African Americans in leadership at the Post Office. Unknowingly, I watched and adopted a lot of the practices my grandfather used when he works at the Post Office and if he were here today (passed away last year at the age of 92), he would have a dark suit and white shirt nearby and ready to wear. Trust me.
