Interview & Workplace Clothing Program
Our signature program provides interview and workplace appropriate clothing to unemployed and under-resourced job seekers. Clients primarily come to us through a network of Referral Partners in their journey towards financial stability. Once an individual receives a referral, they may contact our office to set up an appointment. Clients are provided one-on-one appointments with a trained volunteer coach who assists them through the process of selecting interview appropriate attire and offers guidance on how to make a good first impression. The coaches advise clients on important professional elements such as shaking hands, making eye contact, smiling, responding to questions, the importance of proper grooming such as makeup, hairstyle, and dental hygiene, and knowledge of employer expectations related to workplace image. Our clients leave Clothes That Work more empowered and self-confident, enabling them to focus on demonstrating knowledge and job skills during an interview that are necessary to secure a position. Upon gaining employment, clients may then return to Clothes That Work and receive 2-3 more mix and match work outfits.
Clients who come to us through our network of Referral Partners receive clothing and services at no cost to themselves. We do understand that some individuals may not qualify to receive services through our partners. We understand that many jobseekers may not be unemployed but are instead underemployed. While they have a regular income, it may not be enough to cover the cost of purchasing a suit for an interview. Underemployed jobseekers who are looking for assistance to help them make a vertical career move may contact us at 937.222.3778 to arrange for an appointment for a one-time fee of $30. Once scheduled, one of our volunteer client coaches will meet with you for a personalized, private appointment and help you select a complete interview outfit sure to make a winning impression.
