Director of Development & Marketing
Location: Job Center, 1133 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., Dayton OH
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: Full-time Exempt; 40 hours/week; some evenings and weekends required
Clothes That Work seeks to hire an experienced Director of Development & Marketing to secure financial resources through individual, public and private appeals, and grants to support the mission, programs and services of the organization. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the brand equity and reputation of Clothes That Work; development of an annual comprehensive development plan with targeted goals, objectives, methods, quantifiable outcomes and timelines; department management and supervision; management of fundraising events; resource development; donor stewardship and cultivation; annual fund solicitation; and maintaining exceptional customer service with all persons interacting with the organization.
The Director of Development & Marketing is a full-time exempt position that works 40 hours per week; some evenings and weekends required.
Minimum of five years progressive experience and demonstrated skill in fundraising, corporate sponsorship sales and event management, preferably in the non-profit sector. At least two years of professional experience in a leadership role as part of a senior organizational team. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, social service or related field preferred. Experience working with volunteers is desirable. Membership in AFP and/or CRFE accreditation is desirable. Experience with Donation Management System software preferred. Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook.
Extensive knowledge of nonprofit fundraising processes with demonstrated skill and significant track record in fundraising. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; strong oral, interpersonal, and written skills with high attention to detail essential. Able to deal professionally and sensitively with diverse audiences.
