Dress / Accessory Drive Kit

Thank you for our interest in conducting a Dress or Accessory Drive on behalf of the Fairy Godmother Project. Each year this project draws over 500 local young women who are in need of a prom dress and unable to afford to purchase a new one.

Dresses are all donated by members of our community and that is where you come in. If you are interested in conducting a Dress Drive there are just a few things you’ll need to know:

1.    PLEASE tell us that you are conducting a dress drive. We can drive traffic to your drive location.

2.    Successful dress drives usually generate at least 15-20 dresses, some generate many more.

3.    Receipts are available for you to distribute during your drive.

4.    Dresses should be on hangers.

5.    Dresses need to be Prom/Homecoming appropriate.

6.    Dresses and accessories need to be at Clothes That Work prior to March 2.

7.    We do not have the ability to come and pick up dresses. This is a great time to borrow a minivan.

8.    Call ahead when bringing in dresses. We can be reached at 937.222.3778x150.

9.    All donated dresses and accessories become the property of Clothes That Work and will not be returned.

10.    Students who successfully complete a dress drive will be provided with a letter expressing our gratitude and acknowledging leadership, perseverance, and execution of a plan that would be appropriate for inclusion with college applications or job applications.
