Week 3: Casually Cool
What hobbies, activities, and pastimes fuel your passion?
Outside of work, I can usually be found doing something soccer-related. From being in the stands rooting on my son’s high school team at Centerville or on the sideline helping coach my daughter’s NWC Alliance team to helping with Centerville Recreational Soccer, managing the CUSA Crew SC Web site or volunteering for the annual Mead CUSA Cup tournament, my days (and many nights) are very soccer-centric. When not “doing soccer”, I am an avid Indy car fan and count down the days each year to the Indy 500.
Week 2: Workplace Image
What does an average day (or week) of your life look like?
My average day is probably best described as organized chaos. Working in a fast-paced marketing services agency there is rarely a dull moment. Each day has it high points filled with artistic expression, inspired thinking and resourceful collaboration, along with a dose of reality, facing pending deadlines, last minute changes, creeping project scopes and whatever else gets thrown at you. Keeping positive, working hard and having a sense of humor helps me make it through each day, no matter if it’s good or bad.
Week 1: First Impressions
How did you become the man you are today?
How did I become me? Quite simply, by being true to myself and having been blessed by the man above with a very strong support system:
- Parents and family who challenged me to work hard and never tire of trying to do the right thing
- Friends who understand and provide support through thick and thin
- A wonderful wife and kids that always make this roller coaster ride of life interesting and fun
Why should people vote for you as the best Role Model for Men at Work?
Why should you vote for me? Honestly, I don’t know. There are others here among us who have deeper involvement in the community, stronger resumes, more witty personal statements, and simply, look darn good in a suit. I’m just happy to be here and am hoping not to trip while walking down the runway.
