Week 3: Casually Cool
What hobbies, activities, and pastimes fuel your passion?
My pastimes have evolved more and more into trying to find ways to better my body with exercise and a decent diet. That is tough!! Otherwise, if I can find a way to have a date with my wife each week, I have made it a great week. If there is time left, I love playing any kind of sport with my boys as well as a round of golf and Monday night football.
Week 2: Workplace Image
What does an average day (or week) of your life look like?
An average day for me starts with trying hard to contribute to getting my three boys ready for the day and capturing what time I can with them. From there, it’s to the office or court or a classroom with a common theme – find a way to do my best to solve problems; provide insight and support; and help. When the day is winding down, I like to try and be home to fix dinner and then finish the night with a couple of late office hours before bed.
Week 1: First Impressions
How did you become the man you are today?
Every day, I strive to view my actions from the eyes of my children. I want to be the best man they could want to be like. In addition, I try to express to my family, my friends, my mentors, and even perfect strangers my appreciation for all things … big or small … that people have gone out of their way to do to help me. I always try to remember to say “thank you.”
Why should people vote for you as the best Role Model for Men at Work?
A vote for me is a vote for a candidate who will provide free preschool and college tuition to every American; end corporate taxation; freely share the contents of all of his emails; and, generally speaking, make America (and Dayton) great again!
