VISION STATEMENT:
Clothes That Work! will be a champion for workforce image in our community.
"I wanted to go to my job interview with confidence and not have to worry about what I was wearing. But, as a single mother of three children, I could not afford to go out and buy nice clothes."
Najah Melhem was completing her training program when she was referred to Clothes That Work! Not knowing what to expect, she almost canceled her appointment. "I am a proud person," she said. "I didn’t want my kids to see me receiving a handout."
Najah found her courage and came to Clothes That Work! where she received a warm welcome and was immediately put at ease. She received a head-to-toe interview outfit, coaching on her interview image and a huge boost to her morale.
Today, Najah is working for East End Community Services. She credits Clothes That Work! with helpingher look her best during her job search. She says, "There are people in need all over the community. I tell them to go to Clothes That Work! The service is great and they have the clothes you need to look good for your job interview. They really helped me feel better about myself and I know that helped me get my job!"
