Week 3: Casually Cool
What hobbies, activities, and pastimes fuel your passion?
I love watching my wife and kids laugh. Nothing gives me more joy. Our house is filled with bad jokes, inappropriate noises, alternate lyrics to songs, and sessions of “beating up the kids”. It was a banner day recently when my 4-month-old daughter laughed for the first time.
Week 2: Workplace Image
What does an average day (or week) of your life look like?
5:30am – Begrudgingly wake up
6am – Go to the YMCA and lift heavy objects and put them down.
7:30am – Make myself look respectable and help wrangle kids.
8am – Listen to podcasts or audio books during my 30 minute commute.
8:30am – 5:30pm – Be brilliant
5:30pm – More podcasts or audiobooks on my commute home.
6pm – Help make dinner with my wife.
6:30pm – 8:30pm – Coach soccer practice, play outside with the kids, or go for a walk with the family.
8:30pm – Corralling children for bed.
9pm – midnight – MBA homework
Rinse and repeat…
Week 1: First Impressions
How did you become the man you are today?
I am a firm believer that we are all a work in progress. Instead of asking, “How was your day?” I always ask my kids, “What did you learn today?” I believe that if I can at least learn one new thing a day, I will always be on the path to a better version of myself.
I also believe that by being a good father, we are teaching our sons and daughters how to be good parents themselves. I have been blessed to have two great parents to have learned from. I hope to be even a fraction of the people they are.
Why should people vote for you as the best Role Model for Men at Work?
Wearing a suit can make me look good, but voting for me and supporting Clothes That Work makes you look great.
