Become A Volunteer

Volunteers

Clothes That Work depends on the generous dedication of many volunteers throughout the community.  Our wonderful volunteers, who give freely of their time and talent, help Clothes That Work serve more than a thousand job seekers each year.

Here are some ways you can help:

Personal Shoppers provide professional customer service by aiding our clients with their clothing selections for their interviews or employment.  The Personal Shopper volunteers must assess the client’s needs and provide guidance on clothing selections as well as assistance on interview skills, hygiene issues and life skills matters.

Boutique Sales Associates aid customers with their purchases and create show-stopping, attractive displays. Our Boutique Sales Associates help to generate much needed revenue to operate the mission of our organization.

Inventory Managers aid individuals bringing clothing donations from their cars to our donation room, sort clothing, price clothing for Boutique and add clothing to Client Showroom and Boutique.

People who want to volunteer are always welcome.  Inventory Managers and Personal Shoppers usually work a 4-hour shift Monday through Thursday.  Boutique Sales Associates work a 3-hour shift Wednesday through Friday.  Volunteers can work every week or every other week depending on their schedules.

If you are interested in volunteering at Clothes That Work, please complete our volunteer application online or contact Marcia Graeff at 222-3778, ext. 110.

Second Saturday Groups help with clothing donations, inventory management, boutique sales, and special projects for one or multiple 2nd Saturday Drop ‘n Shops.
These volunteers work in three primary areas. They provide curb-side service to clothing donors and then sort and arrange clothing; they work in the Boutique assisting customers with purchases and pricing new merchandise; and they complete projects such as organizing merchandise in the warehouse or turning over the inventory.

Our Second Saturday is an excellent time for full-time workers and students to volunteer as it is a 3-hour commitment (9:00 a.m. to Noon) once a month.

If you are involved in a corporation, religious institution, school, association and other group that would like to volunteer their time and talents at one of our Second Saturday Drop ‘n Shops, please complete our volunteer application online or contact Marcia Graeff at 222-3778, ext. 110.
