Week 3: May 13 – May 19
The Casually Cool Award
What do you like to do for fun?
Baseball has always been my passion! Along with being an avid fan of the game, it’s my motivation to stay active as I pitch and play outfield in the Dayton Amateur Baseball League. Though hitting a curveball is still a challenge, l love spending time with the team and competing in America’s pastime. On the diamond it’s all about wearing something that’s functional and displays your team unity … and I prefer the throwback look with knee-length pants.
Week 2: May 6 – May 12
The Workplace Image Award
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Managing a great global team, I’ve had the opportunity to visit several different countries and work with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Though customs and traditions may differ, our team shares many common bonds across borders including a passion for teamwork and an intense focus on creating a positive customer experience. Choosing clothes that are comfortable and project a positive, professional image are especially important during long trips abroad.
Week 1: April 24 – May 5
The First Impressions Award
What made you decide to pursue your current career or vocation?
After serving in the military for six years as a Naval Submarine Officer, I was looking for a career where I could utilize and strengthen my leadership, analytic and problem-solving skills. Twenty years later I’m still a proud member of the Synchrony family having been blessed with diverse roles in Quality, Sales and Enterprise Operations. For first impressions, a Navy blazer is my go-to clothing item as it hearkens back to my time in uniform and is both a classic and versatile look.
