Week 3: Casually Cool
What do you like to do for fun?
I’m pretty much the typical guy when it comes to fun. I like to be outdoors whether it’s working on my home, taking care of the yard, doing something athletic with my family, or umpiring a baseball game. Whatever the casual situation, I enjoy doing it with others.
Week 2: Workplace Image
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing a course be designed from start to finish, from raw canvas to finished product. Being involved in the development process and being able to have a hand in making sure that students are getting a high-quality course, that challenges them, and has rigorous yet attainable outcomes makes my work very rewarding. Incorporating technology and student-centered approaches to put their needs first also makes the job quite satisfying.
Week 1: First Impressions
What made you decide to pursue your current career or vocation?
I’ve always had an intrinsic desire to help others achieve and be recognized for their hard work and success; it’s not about me, the success of others is more important. In education, it’s all about providing the tools and approaches for others to succeed in learning, attaining and exceeding their goals, and placing them into a position for a commitment for the acquisition of life long knowledge. By working in instructional design, I get to harness the power of technology to meet the educational needs and support the goals of college students across the region.
Why should people vote for you as “the Most Inspirational Man in Dayton?”
While you dress for the circumstance, clothes don’t make the man; be yourself and show off that version.
