2016 Men at Work

When it comes to achieving career success, many people look to their role models for inspiration. They can be friends, family, business leaders, celebrities, and even fictional characters. People try to model the behaviors and examples set by these role models in the hopes of creating their own success stories.

Men at Work is the Dayton region’s effort to inspire local job seekers to achieve their own employment goals and career aspirations. Dozens of men from all walks of life have volunteered their time and talent to serve in our 2016 class of Role Models. These men will share their own experiences through photos and stories in a online competition that will answer the question: Who is the most inspirational man in Dayton?

The identities of this year’s class of Role Models were revealed at a Kickoff Party on Thursday, April 28th at the Schuster Center. Guests were treated with music, a Selfie Mirror, and a pop-up Boutique as part of the celebration. The men then started campaigning for votes that night! Votes can be purchased for $5 individually or 5 for $20, and all proceeds go towards supporting Clothes That Work’s mission-based programs.

After the party finished, the competition continued online for the next three weeks.  Each week, new pictures and stories about our Role Models were shared to give you a better look at how they became the men they are today.  The winners and total dollars raised were revealed at a special Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
