Launching the Workplace Image Institute

Dozens of local leaders and community champions gathered on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 to join the Clothes That Work staff and volunteers as we formally launched the Workplace Image Institute.  The Institute is a series of workshops designed to help job seekers and the newly employed get the skills and education they need to be successful in their professional lives.

Several special guests were invited to speak to the attendees as part of the launch.  Commissioner Deborah Lieberman spoke to the gathering about the state of the economy in the Dayton region, the strength of our workforce in Montgomery County, and the role our region’s workforce development efforts play in building a strong pipeline of employees for different companies and organizations.  Board President Rebecca Cole spoke to the crowd about the role Clothes That Work has played in those workforce development efforts for nearly two decades, providing services to more than 26,000 women, men, and independent teens.  Quinn Howard from the Montgomery County Office of Ex-Offender Reentry spoke about the value of these workshops and the positive impact they have had on his own clients.
