Why Should You Vote For Me?
I’m not afraid to be me, regardless of the consequence. I have no fear of being who I truly am, and my clothes are a reflection of that.
Accessory of Empowerment
My accessory of empowerment is my microphone. I choose to make my living with my voice. Without a microphone, my job would scarcely be possible. A microphone is one of the most powerful inventions in the history of mankind. It allows you to be heard. It allows your voice to be preserved.
Shoes of Empowerment
What can I say about my shoes? Other than they literally help me create physical power. My shoes of empowerment are my Olympic weightlifting shoes. They are custom-made, in blue suede, to help me deliver optimal force and speed into a barbell so I can put it over my head. I’m a competitive Olympic weightlifter, and it’s one of the fulfilling things I’ve ever participated in. It’s just you and the weight. Sometimes it wins, sometimes you do. Seeing how far you can push yourself, mentally and physically, is very inspiring to me.
Outfit of Empowerment
Empowerment is being who you are. Empowerment is a state of mind. The only thing you can truly empower is yourself. Empowerment is part of my personal style. Turning away from the crowd. Defying convention. Not to try and be different, but to be whom I am. George Gobel once asked, “Do you ever feel like the World is a tuxedo and you’re a pair of brown shoes?” Yes! So I’ll gladly lace those oak brown wingtips up and wear them proudly! My outfit of empowerment represents my definition of success, because it’s what I want to wear. Being able to wear what you wish, to live as you wish, and to do as you wish is my definition of success. Living your life in the way you choose, with the people you chose to share it with is beautiful.
