SUPPORT CLOTHES THAT WORK
Donate Today
Looking for ways to make a difference in Dayton? Get involved with Clothes That Work by volunteering, donating, or joining our community events. Your support provides more than clothing—it fuels programs that deliver job training, interview coaching, and career readiness. As a result, every contribution helps local job seekers gain confidence, secure employment, and build a better future for themselves and their families.
DONATE CLOTHES
Clothes That Work gladly accepts donations of business, business casual, and workwear attire to outfit our clients. If you plan to bring a large donation, please schedule a drop-off appointment using the link below. Appointments allow us to manage inventory more effectively and ensure volunteers are available to help you unload.
We rely on the generous spirit of donors like you to provide professional clothing for interviews and the workplace. To best serve our clients, donated items should meet the following guidelines:
-
Be clean and ready to wear
-
Be in excellent condition
-
Be appropriate for the workplace
-
Be less than five years old
Please avoid donating items that are ripped, torn, stained, or heavily worn, as we cannot pass these on to our clients. Clothing with prominent logos is also discouraged since many employers do not permit branded attire. In addition, we cannot accept concert T-shirts, pajamas, bathrobes, or household goods.
If you have questions about acceptable donations, please call us at 937.222.3778. We deeply appreciate your contributions and the impact they make in helping local job seekers succeed.
If you are unable to drop off clothing at our main location, Clothes that Work has satellite locations throughout the community. Please click on the sites on the map to find your nearest drop-off location.

Volunteer your time
Volunteers are at the heart of Clothes That Work. By giving just a few hours each week, you can make a lasting difference—whether by sorting donations, assisting clients in choosing professional attire, or supporting special fundraising events. For example, many volunteers help job seekers select the perfect interview outfit, boosting confidence and setting them up for success.
Since opening our doors in 1998, we’ve served more than 45,000 clients, and none of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. In return, volunteering offers the chance to meet new people, learn valuable skills, and see firsthand the impact your time has on the community. Many of our volunteers stay engaged for years because of the rewarding experience.
