Reports to: Director of Finance & Business Development
Location: Kettering, OH (on-site)
Hours: Part-Time 12-14 Hours

Position Summary:

The nonprofit bookkeeper provides ongoing accounting and bookkeeping services to support the organization’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and classify all financial transactions accurately in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Reconcile bank, credit card and loan statements monthly with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly
  • Review and code income and expenses to appropriate funds, programs and classes
  • Process payroll on ADP platform for hourly employees
  • Input PTO into APD platform
  • Assist with audit requests from accountants
  • Produce 1099 documents accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile CTW Boutique report to Quickbooks and process monthly sales tax via Ohio Gateway system in a timely manner

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in providing bookkeeping or accounting services to nonprofit organizations
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online software or other accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred or 2 years of bookkeeping experience
