Location: Kettering, OH (on-site)
Hours: Part-Time 12-14 Hours
Position Summary:
The nonprofit bookkeeper provides ongoing accounting and bookkeeping services to support the organization’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and classify all financial transactions accurately in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Maintain general ledger
- Reconcile bank, credit card and loan statements monthly with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly
- Review and code income and expenses to appropriate funds, programs and classes
- Process payroll on ADP platform for hourly employees
- Input PTO into APD platform
- Assist with audit requests from accountants
- Produce 1099 documents accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile CTW Boutique report to Quickbooks and process monthly sales tax via Ohio Gateway system in a timely manner
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Experience in providing bookkeeping or accounting services to nonprofit organizations
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online software or other accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred or 2 years of bookkeeping experience
